It's true that I won't be cruising over 45 or 50 most of the time, but I MAY want to use full throttle while getting there! I enjoy the feel of acceleration, so maybe I'll just look into a slightly larger main jet, now that it will be easy as hell to remove the float bowl!
My local Suzuki dealer says that California State Law prohibits him from selling parts that would alter the stock carburetor in any way, so I can't get oversize jets from him! My #145 stock jet takes a #54 drill bit, which is .055" in diameter. I could open up the orifice to .059" or .063" by drilling it out with a #53 or a #52 drill bit if I can't get an oversize jet from a dealer. What do you think?
